Sunday: Hili dialogue

November 1, 2015 • 4:53 am

After a miserable Halloween of cold, overcast skies, and a near-constant light drizzle, dampening the spirits and costumes of  candy-seeking children, we will have SUN and decent temperatures in Chicago this week:

Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili is still going out, as she has her coat, once described as “lovely to look at, soft to the touch, and suitable for every occasion.”

Hili: I’m going out into the dark night.
A: You will be cold.
Hili: No, I have my fur with me.

In Polish:
Hili: Idę w ciemną nic.
Ja: Zmarzniesz.
Hili: Nie, mam futerko.

  1. Being in an over-55 gated community has the down side of not seeing children in Halloween costumes. It does have an up side – not dealing with children in Halloween costumes.

  2. The rain held off for the trick or treaters here but then it really poured & poured all night. It’s sunny now and 15C. I just did the big change over of my closet to put away my spring/summer clothes & bring out my fall/winter ones.
