Leon’s mountain adventure: part sept

February 24, 2015 • 3:45 pm

Today is the next-to-last day of Leon’s Big Adventure. And the intrepid moggie, moving on, encounters yet another female cat! Malgorzata provides an introduction:

Explanation first: they went for a long trek high into the mountains and there was a tiny mountain hostel containing one female cat named Kicia.

And there’s a dialogue:

Leon: Did you know that Kicia has lived for three years and she has never seen another cat? What luck that I ventured into this wilderness!
How many cats do you know that would do this?:

Can you spot Kicia? She looks smitten by Leon.

  1. That’s cool that she took Leon on his “Big Mountain Adventure.”
I’d dearly love it if my neighbor could get her cats to stop using my hydrangea as a litter box.

  2. I think Leon’s Adventures could make a show. Someone should call the BBC.

How about we put some of that silent roar on the deer hunters back here in Iowa. I understand some of them put deer urine on themselves and that stuff would set them straight.

  3. How many cats do you know that would do this?

    Well…as a matter of fact….

But Baihu has yet to meet any other cats on our adventures. I haven’t the foggiest idea how he’d react…he tends to be pretty territorial when it comes to the strays who claim our property as part of their territory, bouncing off the security door and what-not. I hope he won’t be anywhere near so aggressive when he’s not on his own home turf, because I really wouldn’t mind introducing him to other cats.

      1. Snow? No; he’s never seen snow.

But I’m guessing Leon hasn’t hiked that kind of distance in mountainous desert terrain in weather hot enough that his coat needed to be regularly soaked with icewater to keep him from overheating….
