  1. The worst is that some religious will disregard this as sarcasm and really attribute what happened to God. I wonder if they can explain why their God could not avoid the house to burst into flames. If I was religious I would say he is sadistic :).

  2. It had to be the Cat Goddess Bastet whose Ptolemaic-era temple dedicated to the Bastet was recently discovered in Alexandria, indicating that the worship of the ancient Egyptian cat-goddess continued during the later, Greek-influenced, Ptolemaic period.

  3. Since the cat came from flames I would suspect he/it is of the Satan. It looks like Satanists were correct after all.

    1. That was quite a ride for a little kitty! I suspect that the cat was hiding someplace hoping all of the annoying flames, smoke, and noise, would go away. Then the water came and it decided that getting out of there was a better plan.

  4. Spontaneous reincarnation and transportation under the Nine Lives Hypothesis is a far more credible explanation.

  5. The background commentary is somehow funny. When the building starts to fall someone says “oh no” but it is just stated – no exclamation.

I’m glad the kitty survived & was reunited with his owner.

  6. Sorry to be so ignorant, but from the Antipodes, was the fire and collapse of the hotel an accident, or was it a deliberate destruction?? We have had the odd destruction of buildings here that had very negative outcomes.
I am delighted that Felix survived and returned, evidently to his proper home.
