  1. Isn’t Galileo reputed to have said that while stumbling up the steps into the Inquisition courtroom?
    And as we all know, cat’s don’t trip, except when trying to fool watching hoomins.

    1. You remind me of something I once saw Joanie (who, sadly, is pinin’ for the fjords) do. She nonchalantly walked right over a ball without looking at it. Once the ball was out of her direct line of vision, and still without looking at it, she gave it a quick flick with her paw. Once it finally entered her field of view, she was shocked — shocked! — at the insolence of the ball and proceeded to give chase and promptly (but not after a short-but-furious struggle) claimed victory over her foe.

      I suspect that’s the type of motion Hili was anticipating….
