As happens so often, Mo instantiates the very behavior he criticizes.
Leaving Mohammad out of that cartoon prevented the (threat of) the bombing of the offices of The Onion.

I wonder if Mo (or Moslems in general) ever ask themselves why they have a reputation for violence?
Another good one from Jesus ‘n’ Mo. I always appreciate their pointed criticism and even-handedness towards all Abrahamic religions, whether it be Christianity, Islam, and I forget what the third one is.
Great J&M cartoon, and an excellent piece from The Onion, which I don’t believe I’ve ever seen before. Truly great.
South Park once did a good take on the theme, ensuring that, before a depiction of Mohammad was censored, they would show Jesus defecating on an American flag.
On one hand, the Onion article could be a sly swipe at Islam as they note how none of the religions shown have attacked and obviously not showing an image of Mohammad, implying that Islam is the only religion where murder is an acceptable reaction to a cartoon depiction of Mohammed, thus implying the Islamists are barbarians. Or it could be that the Onion is genuinely afraid that if they had made a cartoon that they would have targets on their heads, so rather than showing an image of Mohammed they have twisted the message in a way that protects themselves. If it’s the former, I like it, but I also find the Onion to back off from certain targets.
Since this is from 2012 and before the Charlie Hebdo attack, it’s not a commentary on that attack.
I know I’ve seen that image several years ago. How can one forget?
The odds of The Onion of today posting this obvious dig at Islam today, in the era where Free Palestine reigns supreme in the brainpan of progressives, is so close to zero that light cannot creep betwixt.
