Sunday: Hili dialogue

May 12, 2024 • 3:47 am

Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili has hit upon a money-making scheme:

A: I’ve never seen such a sundial.
Hili: See, a sundial with a cat would sell very well.

In Polish:

Ja: Takiego zegara słonecznego jeszcze nie widziałem.
Hili: No popatrz, a zegar słoneczny z kotem świetnie by się sprzedawał.

  1. More news on the Biden Administration’s manipulation of Israel. It is promising to share intel on the location of Hamas leaders if Israel holds off on Rafah.

The Biden administration, working urgently to stave off a full-scale Israeli invasion of Rafah, is offering Israel valuable assistance if it holds back, including sensitive intelligence to help the Israeli military pinpoint the location of Hamas leaders and find the group’s hidden tunnels, according to four people familiar with the U.S. offers.

Clearly the Administration otherwise sees no issue with sharing the intel. It just wants to tie Israel’s hands. With fronds like these, who needs anemones?

    1. The only way that makes sense is if there is a stipulation that Israel holds off on Rafah until civilians are pretty well evacuated. Otherwise there is no point.

    2. If this intelligence really exists and is true, it is now rendered valueless. Mr. Sinwar should simply decamp to another location and redouble his efforts to find the mole. The Ultra secret had to be used sparingly and with great care to the cover story to keep the Germans from deducing that the British had broken their Enigma code. This looks positively reckless, or deliberate disinformation toward some other end, to let this out….and coldly cynical toward some courageous human asset whose life must now be measured in hours.

      1. One wonders whether US intelligence agencies also know where the remaining hostages are (and how many of them are still alive).

  2. If US intelligence has any idea where and how to find Hamas leaders, you would have thought they would have used this carrot before now in their attemps to reign in Netanyahu.
The Americans are in such a bind they don’t know their arse from a hole in the ground.
Weaving domestic problems (election paranoia) into their foreign policy has made for meek and befuddled behaviour.
