Reader Pliny the in Between, who took a characterization of me as “Angry Cat Man” and turned it into a superhero who is my own alter ego, has created another episode. As I didn’t understand it at first, the artist gave me an explanation:
Phantom zone was an inescapable glass-like prison dimension used on the planet Krypton (Superman mythos). Since cats always seem to want inside when out and outside when in, what better way to trap a cat man than in a revolving door.

That joke IS a bit convoluted. But I still look forward to future episodes of Angry Cat Man.
+1
Angry Cat Man, Emeritus™, you mean.
Meh.
Is is actually funny to Supermanites?
If so, is it *funnier* than the visual of a guy wearing red panties over blue pants?
That is genius!
Of course Evil Dr. D*g is meanwhile planning his Secret Weapon which is a tesseract box in a box in a box…. Mwa ha ha haaa.
His Evil tail wags in anticipation.
There’s a secret weapon that ends all d*gs….
Squirrel!
Oowooooooo!!
As long as it comes with an explanation I can do it. The only thing I remember of superman was he also became Clark Kent, and hung out with Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane. Always taking off his glasses and looking for a phone booth. Good luck with that today.
Today it might be a port-a-potty.
Today he just whirls around on the sidewalk, and nobody sees because they are all texting while walking.
Actually in our post-truth era which simply rejects objective reality, he simply denies that witnesses saw anything and viciously attacks their character for ever having suggested it.
Nerd fact: The Phantom Zone was glass-like only in the Superman films of 1978 and 1980. In the comics, it is usually portrayed as a ghost-like dimension, hence the name Phantom Zone. In most depictions, the inhabitants can watch our dimension unrestrictedly while we can only see them by means of technology.
I wonder if Schrodinger chose a cat for his thought experiment because of the feline propensity for its uncertainty as to whether to be out or in? (or dead or alive) Would the experiment have been different if a gerbil had been the subject?
