There is a very good article over at FFRF’s site on “breathtaking Ignorance” by Mr. Feuerstein, the guy who started the cup thing at Starbucks
Thrilled that Opus and Bill are back.
Couldn’t see past the Faith vs. Fact and W.E.I.T. book images with either Firefox or Internet Explorer. The only way I could see the whole strip intact was to save the image on my hard drive and then view it with another program.
Double click on the cartoon.
Yes, I tried that. Did you? Apparently not because it doesn’t help. The page it takes you too has the same problem.
Double click there, too. 😉
Seriously.
I think he means click twice, with a good interval between the clicks.
Good to see “Bloom County” alive and well and kicking up shit (even if Breathed owes G. Trudeau a two-bit commission on every dollar he makes).
I agree, and Trudeau owes a royalty to Jules Feiffer. Everyone is influenced by someone else. I don’t know who influenced Feiffer, though.
I seem to recall reading that some of Feiffer’s earliest published work was on Will Eisner’s The Spirit, which along with Harvey Kurtzman-era Mad likely had some influence on him.
Right you are, Doug, on all counts.
I haven’t thought about Feiffer in too long. Always liked Feiffer’s cartoons a lot, his plays and screenplays, too, especially the one he did for Mike Nichols’ Carnal Knowledge. Also really liked Trudeau’s script for Altman’s Tanner ’88.
