  1. I read it wrong and thought it said we were launching a rocket to ISIS – (can’t keep all these damn abbreviations straight)

    1. I thought exactly the same thing. I could not figure out what it meant to “launch a rocket TO the ISIS”. I was also confused by NASA’s involvement. Then it dawned on me. ISS!

  2. I would really love to experience such an event first hand some day. I have read from people who attended a launch that although you are many kilometers away from the action you can still feel the noise.

It must be really an unforgettable experience to feel the power. Unfortunately it is not likely to happen any time soon. For now I am stuck with web videos.

  3. I’d be more excited about these if ISS made more sense scientifically. The science/$ spent has been just dreadful. And sure, it has demonstrated large vehicles can be assembled in space from small modules… which is why NASA is building a very large expensive launch vehicle, the SLS, to avoid doing just that?
