It’s now June, but the weather here is still dire: a high of only 60°F today with continuing rain. I hope it’s better in Vancouver! Somebody please post below what climate I can expect there later this week. Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili is on about the Big Bang, and I have no idea what she’s talking about. But she’s still cute.
Hili: I’m thinking about the Big Bang.
A: And what do you think?
Hili: A good bit of time has passed since then.
In Polish:
Hili: Myślę o Wielkim Wybuchu.
Ja: I co myślisz?
Hili: Kawał czasu minęło.

Ah! I am reading Sean Carroll’s book about time (the most used noun in English) From Eternity to Here… Started last week on holiday & it requires concentration. Impossible to regurgitate what I have read though – for those interested in time, recommended reading! Hili would understand…
Hili’s statements are always something between a brilliant insight and kicking in an open door. And more accurate than theology ofcourse!
Fairly typical for Vancouver at this time of year – high of 70 F with a 30% chance of rain today, high of 60 F with a 70% chance of rain on Tuesday.
“Hili: A good bit of time has passed since then”
Hili is a multiverse cat (:
Please blow some of that to NC if you can. We’ve had several weeks without good rain and it’s been bloody hot.
It will be sunny, highs increasing from 70 to 75 over the weekend.
That assumes Fri – Mon when the conference is on.
Warm and sunny – t-shirt and shorts weather – in Vancouver. Even if it rains it is still comfortable.
I had hoped that trips that start in Nashville with the AC on and end in Chicago with the heating on would be over by now. But that’s how it worked out yesterday.
I wore a sweater into work this morning 🙁
Titan will put on his disgruntled face if it doesn’t cheer up by the time he arrives.
Well, it’s Vancouver so… it’s going to rain. After it lets up, it’s going to rain again. You need only worry if you are made out of sugar or some other easily dissolved substance.
Oh, how I long already for…well, hell, I’d even settle for an overnight low of 60°F. Triple digits already as I type (about noon), headed to 106°F, might not make it down to 70°F overnight.
But, hey! A cooling trend in sight! The weekend highs might be just barely below 100°F….
