But of course all cats are kings!

Here’s a tw**t from April (a person) via Matthew Cobb, showing an onsen (Japanese hot spring resort) for kitties, just like the one you’ll soon see for capybaras:

The full image is here. Be sure to notice all the details. One cat is washing its butt!

  1. “But of course all cats are kings!”

Isa and Samone disagree. They are queens – in both senses of the word.

    1. Except, I should add, the guy in the back left looks ticked off with one of the other cats. I think he is unimpressed with the sycophantic nature toward the king cat.

      1. They’re counselors, according to the text, and maybe the one in the back is ticked off because he isn’t asked first for his opinion.

    1. Oh, I had forgotten all about Richard Scarry! My kids – and I – loved his books. I especially remember Cars and Trucks and Things That Go:-). Must have read it to my son 100X. And he did do cute animals, too, didn’t he?
