I love snow! I have to sleep with the windows open – even when I lived in Tromsø. I cycle & walk without a coat.
PS Bootiful fluff-ball that cat is…
It’s snowing slightly – just enough to be cold and annoying, not enough to make a snowball.
Not in Manchester 🙁
No sir-ee!
Beautiful sunshine in the North East of England.
Not sure where about in England it’s snowing atm, although the weatherman said there might be the odd flurry in London. That’s nothing compared to what it was like in the north of England a couple of weeks ago though. Here’s a video I took of a little drifting snow. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151494204043711&set=vb.534373710&type=2&theater
It’s not snowing here down in west country, but it’s damn cold.
its had flurries in herts for the last couple of hours. Not sticking but unpleasant to be out on a bike in.
Not snowing but still lying, especially on hills.
Paradoxically, a predicted result of global warming. Melting ice reduces the salinity of the North Atlantic and thus weakens the Gulf Stream, while warming also weakens air flows that otherwise confine the Arctic air to higher latitudes.
Beautiful Spring day here in Scotland (East Coast – 40 miles North of St Andrews) Just wish it would get a bit warmer. Last year it was Barbie time by now but after a week or so it was all downhill. (Britain, every weather in a day!)
You can’t be far from me, just north of Montrose, where it is cool but very sunny. At least the ground is starting to dry out after last year’s rain. I guess I’ll have to recommission the lawn mower soon – ah, well!
Brechin, Haggis. Small world.
This is why my ancestors from England and Scotland could convince themselves that Cleveland was a good place to live.
Same in Canada..
Reading had snow on and off all afternoon, but not enough to settle, but it was falling thickly enough to have done so had it lasted more than a few minutes at a time.
Plenty of snow flurries in Cuckfield, Sussex today but nothing sticking. The east wind is piercing; the snow was falling sideways.
(Cuckfield btw is where Mantell found his first iguanodon tooth in the 1820s.)
Spring-like in Michigan, too. As a friend once put it, “Spring; when the snow melts and you realize just how much dog you actually have…”
