Today’s Doonesbury continues the spoof of Fox News’s reporting on the War on Christmas, and the right’s War on the First Amendment.

* Actually, I think I have forgotten. Something about “nativity” trips my memory up.
I’m sure 2000 years from now, all Nativity Scenes will include a Little Drummer Boy and Ahmal with his crutch, and they will be as integral and universally accepted as the ox, the ass, the shepherds, the kings, and the cat.
Ahmal is one of my favorite operas!
I’d have to check, but I think my Dad’s trumpet teacher, Murray Karpilovsky, was in the pit for the premiere broadcast.
