The author of Jesus and Mo is again recycling old strips, but I haven’t seen this one, called oops2. Here Jesus questions the notion of a personal God, whereupon that God punishes him by raining on his parade, proving that Jesus’s assertions are wrong:
Jesus ‘n’ Mo ‘n’ a personal God

Is it all that different from believing that we have agency? the ability to manipulate matter to implement our choices? 🙂
Didn’t you manipulate matter (and electrons) to make your post?
I don’t think so 🙂
So who did, if not you?

It is (I) the physical system that interacts with its environment. In my original comment, I meant agency in the context of free will: the belief in the ability, through means that involve a mind-matter duality, to choose one’s actions to achieve one’s aims. I’m saying that believing in such a free will is almost as bad as believing in the mysterious force through which God influences the material world. (I did not reply then for fear of violating the Roolz. But it looks like no one else has pushed up the comment count.)
