  1. In 1970, Lenny Hart, the manager of the Grateful Dead and father of drummer Mickey Hart, disappeared with most of the band’s money. Hart was located by a private detective and arrested in San Diego on July 26, 1971,while baptizing people and using the name “Rev. Lenny B. Hart”. The song He’s Gone was written about him. I have been listening to it since 11am CST yesterday. Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.

  2. And nothing’s gonna bring him back…(we hope).

    I wish the Hall and Oates tune “She’s Gone” was “He’s Gone”…I was humming that yesterday.

    Oops, meant to be a reply to George @ 2.

    1. Hilarious. Another one that I love is HM The Queen treating Trump like a particularly dozy corgi when showing him where to walk when inspecting troops.

  3. Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
    The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
    And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
    But there is no joy in MAGAville—mighty Donald has struck out.

    (With apologies to Ernest Lawrence Thayer)

  4. Even as a Canadian I feel much lighter today, not having Trump forced in to my consciousness every day when I check the news. He was a hydrogen bomb of narcissism, constantly pushing his way in to the public consciousness to constantly shock. The world feels so much closer to “right” with him gone.

  5. Here is a photo by which I will remember him: media.sciencephoto.com/image/z3400471/800wm/Z3400471-Maggot_head.jpg
