I’m having my biannual tooth cleaning this morning, so posting will be light until later. Instead of readers’ wildlife, then, I’ll post something sent by Matthew Cobb, who actually reads Twi**er. Here’s a tw**t in which a reptile is hidden; I’ve extracted the picture and put it below in larger format. Can you spot the reptile? If so, what is it? Don’t read the comments if you want to find it yourself. (The answer hasn’t yet been posted on Twi**er, but we’re promised a reveal.)

It’s in there alright. Spotted at least seven potential reptiles – not counting Trump and his cabinet nominees.
That very dark wiggly snakey thing at the upper right 1/3 x 1/3 point?
This is a tough one.
You can usually find the animal by locating the spot the picture is sharp.
I hope spoilers work…
I think it’s a snake, pretending to be a branch, in the top center. It has a very unusual scale pattern, that at first made me think they were stains
Obscured grayish snake with spots, right side slightly below center.
If I am right, it would be a first.
But I’m not.
It’s a beautiful gecko from Madagascar (genus Uroplatus, probably U. fimbriatus). Probably one of the most amazing examples of animal camouflage…These creatures are amazing!
I choose to not give coordinates, but it is something that people notice right away in this picture, and if you zoom in you can see it has bilateral symmetry.
