Readers’ wildlife photographs

A year ago, reader Benjamin Taylor went on a camping trip around southern Africa (Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia) and took lots of photos. I’m continuing his series today, and his captions are indented. There are bonus kittens!

  1. They are quite beautiful. To my eyes, they are exotic , and that distance stimulates our admiration and appreciation. The kittens are not exotic, but they are equally to be admired.

  2. Great pics! And the kittens are so adorable! What a wonderful experience your trip must have been.

  3. Is that a cattle egret snagging an amuse bouche, or more properly, an amuse bec, from the buffalo?

  4. Photos of African wildlife are my favorite. Thanks for this great offering! Love the B&W photo of the white-backed vulture. The impala’s horns look dangerous.

  5. Loved seeing these.

I grew up in Zambia and have visited Zimbabwe and Botswana so these brought back some lovely memories.

    More please!
