Here’s an end-of-the-day-Felid from Hi, Homer!, a good source for all things cat. Poor Sparky found himself marooned atop a basketball backboard (how did he get up there?), and finds a funny way to descend. Clever cat!

Good Kitty!
Well heck, I couldn’t have gotten up there in the first place.
Well heck, I couldn’t have gotten up there in the first place.
Cats seem to have the knack. Very few kitty skeletons found up trees or utility poles.
😉
Bet you wouldn’t find a d*g working that out!
That’s for damn sure!
Hey now!
Dog has more sense than to get up there in the first place.
The reason I love cats some much is they have such miraculous athletic ability. This is a good example. The slip from the pole is understandable, since the cat naturally assumed the pole would have the texture of a tree branch or some other natural material.
Sparky should sign up for the Fire Department.
They might be a little suspicious with a name like that!
How’d he get up there? I dunno, but I suspect that kid had something to do with it. Never seen a cat climb a metal pole.
I love how he ran to his human, then when he got there he was suddenly nonchalant. Oh hai, I’m just walking over here, just a coincidence that I’m near you…
HALF CAT, half Sqrl.
I for one will welcome our new Overlord’s as soon as I can decide if they’re “felirels” or “sqrlcats”. “Catqrlz”?
See, they’ve cunningly added a great word to my Scrabble dictionary.
“How did he get up there?”
Climbed up the fence and jumped across.
That cat has done that before, looks like a familiar route to me. Of course it did have to work it out the first time…
