  1. I, apparently, have to sit through a commencement speech by a woo-filled accomodationist in a month. I could really use one of those!

Although I’m not entirely sure, given the occasion, that my wife, mother or the graduating child would fully get into the spirit…..

    1. It’s not hard to set up an account with one of many print-on-order places. My mad (schizophrenic, literally) artist friend can manage it, and he’s currently under a Compulsory Care Order, he’s considered so dangerous to himself.
It’s neither rocket science nor genetics.

        1. I was thinking of PitB setting up the account.
Of course his work is copyrighted. My artist-friend’s work is too. Which gives him every right to put his work onto a tee-shirt site – and get a cut from the sale price.

  2. I really like the smile. It’s as if she knows what the pope is thinking and he’s looking right at her chest and not reading the shirt. 🐬

    1. After a fashion, and only in so far as his views were essentially deistic, as it seems to have been the case. Read _Galileo, Watcher of the Skies_ – a recent biography released to coincide with the 400th anniversary of the _Sidereus Nuncius_, as I recall. One of the lost works of G. is a naturalistic interpretation of the New Testament, for example.

He’s also fond of writing things like “But, sir, the position you attribute to me is a heresy!” (Note that he does *not* say, “I didn’t write that!”)

      1. I see you are a philosopher of science. You may be very knowledgeable about Galileo. However, I have to say that from all the things I have read about it, I retained the idea that he was very devout.

        Is that wrong ?

Also, liked to Galileo, today is a glorious day since today will be launched the Microscope satellite.

Its mission is to test what in General Relativity Theory is known as the Equivalence Principle and in Newtonian Mechanics as the universality of free fall with a precision of 10^(-15).

The best test so far has confirmed the validity of the aforementioned Principle (or fact) with a precision of 10^(-13).

The mission is supposed to take one year.

        It is very exciting.
