Octopi are awesome:

Inky escapes!
I just saw that on Tw*tter a short while ago! 🙂
Pretty interesting that it leaves the pool it captures the crab in, and drags it back over land to the original pool. Better to do some work getting it to a known safe spot than be lazy and eat it in a potentially unsafe spot, I guess.
I saw this, and the associated story about the captive octopus that cleverly escaped.
Added to this general amazingness, is that they do not live long as adults.
“…they do not live long as adults.”
A darned good thing I say. The thought of intelligent octopuses climbing up our sewers into our toilets, angry at being eaten and polluted on, looking for revenge, I wouldn’t be able to use a toilet ever again.
This is why crabz gotta sometimes carry protection.
There’s no doubt about it octupi are cool.
And we have the added bonus of typical Aussie kid yelling, “Holy Shit!”
The video can be slowed down to .25 by clicking on the little gear icon at the lower right on the frame. Select your desired speed from the menu.
Thanks! That helped a lot!
I can almost hear the Jaws duh-duh duh-duh music at the start of the video.
