  1. I’m curious to know just how many generations of selection he needed to accomplish this. Pretty incredible.

    1. According to the American Cat Fanciers Association:

“the first documented cross between a nondomestic cat, the Asian leopard cat (Felis bengalensis), and the domestic cat (Felis catus).”

“The fourth generation and beyond are often referred to in the Bengal cat world as being studbook (SBT).”

  2. Can a kitten get any more beautiful than this?

Well, Baihu was more beautiful as a kitten — but not by much, I’ll grant you that.

Pro tip: kittens are even more beautiful in person than they are in photos. Hint, hint.

  3. That sure makes me wish I wasn’t so alergic to cats. No Chinese food (MSG) or moldy basements for me either.

  4. Does one of these have your name on it, Jerry? 😀

I spent a good quarter of an hour or so at Hutcherson’s website after you posted the link in the last Cleo thread. Mesmerizing!

      1. I strongly recommend getting two kittens. They keep each other company while you’re out and they wreak adorable havoc all the time.

  5. Kitten puzzle! Or possibly puzzled kittens – I can’t tell.

    Let’s join the choir:

There are Sharks/Jaws in the world.
    There are Bears.
There are Hounds and Morays, and then
There are those that follow Unicorns, but
I’ve never been one of them.

    I’m a Bengal Kitten,
And have been since before I was born,
And the one thing they say about Kittens is:
They’ll take you as soon as you’re warm.

    You don’t have to be a six-footer.
You don’t have to have a great brain.
You don’t have to have any clothes on. You’re
A Kitten the moment you came,

    Because

    Every cat is sacred.
    Every cat is great.
    If a cat is orphaned,
    Jerry gets quite irate.
