Good morning!
Today is Emily Brontë‘s birthday
A: I was looking for you!
Hili: And you found me.
In Polish:
Ja: Szukałem cię!
Hili: I znalazłeś mnie.
And a special lagniappe from Leon, who has learned a lesson:
In Honor of Ms Brontë, here’s The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain playing “Wuthering Heights”. You haven’t truly lived until you’ve heard this. Sorry, Kate.
.

Liked the “Uke” Orchestra. Maybe they could enlist Neil Giraldo to belt out some guitar solos as well.
There was a band called…The Mike Flowers Pops, I think, from the mid to late nineties, who did something similar – lounge/easy-listening covers of(at the time) contemporary songs by Oasis and other bands. They were pitch-perfect and everybody fell in love with the schtick – for about a month. Then – pooff – they were gone. There was some kind of silent, ‘let us never speak of it again’-type agreement amongst the British public and that was that.
Mike flower’s Pop’s was great, I was a big fan back in the ’90’s.
Finding the cat is always a relief, even when you know the cat can’t possibly actually be lost.

Thanks for that Jerry. I was just talking with my boss about Wuthering Heights and low and behold it was Emily’s birthday. Really liked the band.
Cheers!
