Good morning!

Today is Emily Brontë‘s birthday

A: I was looking for you!
Hili: And you found me.

In Polish:

Ja: Szukałem cię!
Hili: I znalazłeś mnie.

And a special lagniappe from Leon, who has learned a lesson:
Leon: I didn’t know that deers can bark.

In Honor of Ms Brontë, here’s The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain playing “Wuthering Heights”. You haven’t truly lived until you’ve heard this. Sorry, Kate.

  1. Liked the “Uke” Orchestra. Maybe they could enlist Neil Giraldo to belt out some guitar solos as well.

    1. There was a band called…The Mike Flowers Pops, I think, from the mid to late nineties, who did something similar – lounge/easy-listening covers of(at the time) contemporary songs by Oasis and other bands. They were pitch-perfect and everybody fell in love with the schtick – for about a month. Then – pooff – they were gone. There was some kind of silent, ‘let us never speak of it again’-type agreement amongst the British public and that was that.

      1. Mike flower’s Pop’s was great, I was a big fan back in the ’90’s.

  2. Thanks for that Jerry. I was just talking with my boss about Wuthering Heights and low and behold it was Emily’s birthday. Really liked the band.

    Cheers!
