For now, let me just put up a few photographs of sunsets, all taken from the home of Mike and Karen Houle (Kelly’s parents) in Dewey-Humboldt, Arizona, between Phoenix and Flagstaff.
Arizona clouds are large, mercurial, and, at sunset, multicolored.

Very much a tourist area I think. Prescott, Arizona close by and Oak Creek Canyon, slide rock not far. I remember going there as a kid when we lived in Scottsdale.
The various city centers are touristy, but the outlying areas such as where Mike and Karen live are just ordinary rural America.
But, yes. Dewey-Humboldt is one of those towns you drive past on your way from the Phoenix metro area on your way to Prescott, just about fifteen miles before you get to Prescott.
And, yes, it’s every bit as beautiful as Jerry has been making it out to be.
Mike is an avid amateur astronomer. The photos of Venus and Jupiter and the last one in the series show the range of hills on the far side of the valley, and Mike uses it as something of a celestial calendar…he can tell you exactly where the Sun will set in relation to those peaks at any given time of the year. The summer solstice, if I remember right, is on the right side of that last picture right about where the bottom of the hill is.
