It’s Memorial Weekend in America, with all U.S.ers getting a three-day weekend (that doesn’t apply, of course, to Professor Ceiling Cat, who has important Cat Stuff to do). There is food to buy, talks to write (Vancouver, Toronto, and D.C., all different), wine to pick up, and H is for Hawk to read. I am also receiving emails telling me that I have got religion all wrong in my new book, but those will go into the e-circular bin. Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili is blocking the entrance to the kitchen, probably so nobody can get noms without her knowing!
A: Hili, you are inconveniencing everybody.
Hili: Sorry for any inconvenience.
Ja: Hili, przeszkadzasz tu wszystkim.
Hili: Przepraszam za niedogodność.
And by “sorry,” I mean “not sorry.”
“…but in the nicest possible way.”
Enjoy H is for Hawk, I thought it was great (and it was through here that I was reminded of the book, so thanks!).
I have one cat who also likes to plop down right in the midst of the high-traffic area of the house.
I _think_ the idea is to plop down in a spot where there are multiple exits to choose from, should one need to beat a hasty retreat.
I have yet to meet a cat who isn’t purrfect in the art of “being in the way”.
I love it when they walk I’m front of you. I had a kiltten who used to purposely crash into my ankles every time I walked around the house.
Kittehs!!
One of our cats stretches out on the top stair! I love the daily Hili updates, thank you for them.
Will WEiT readers get to see these? Or is it the same old stuff we’ve already seen?
I’m having trouble getting through the book and this has nothing to do with how good it is. Emma the cat likes to walk back and forth in front of my face and then sits down on the book to announce a break time.
Should also remind any who have an interest in racing – tomorrow is a big racing day with Monaco, Indy and Nascar. I’ll be watching the F1 race for sure.
Hili is channelling God, I see — or, at least, his final message.
