Since there’s no significant news today, allow me to bore you with my latest duck pictures, as I’m chuffed that all the babies are in their fourth day, having survived two nights without attrition. They look healthy, are eating heartily, and are lively, swimming around between bouts of napping with Miss Duck, their mom. All these photos are from this morning.

I’m just wondering if I can exhale now. Wait. Yes, I will. It has gone poorly at Botany Pond so far this summer but we have turned that corner. PCC(E), you have earned a break and fortuna has smiled upon MIss Duck, yourself and the rest of us. Hopefully lots of happy posts and pictures to come.

I was thinking of you yesterday when I went to the park with puppy “David” to feed the pigeons. Which is a much less involved hobby than yours.

Go ahead and laugh at me, but that Miss Duck has an expression on her bill that just says maternal pride and satisfaction.
Not at all! Landing in a 5 star restaurant that caters to her every need, is especially solicitous of the babies, and providing as secure environment as is humanly possible would certainly generate pride and satification. Duck has chosen well, with much to smile about.
