Houston, I have Facebook!

May 12, 2015 • 12:39 pm

Thank Ceiling Cat and some Big Guns who went to bat for me—and on whom I’ll confer anonymity—my Facebook page has returned. Although it’s still listed as “being investigated,” it seems to work fine. I guess I’ll never know why it was taken down.

But I also learned that I have a public Facebook page, or so a reader said. Maybe that’s just the public announcements on my regular Facebook page, but I don’t think so. At any rate, I don’t know where it is, nor did I start it.

Anyway, that’s one First World problem out of the way.

  1. Congrats! I’m not on facebook but I can empathize with losing something that you’ve put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into maintaining, and which a lot of people use to talk to you/hear your thoughts.

    1. Jerry, if you go look at the squirrel pic I posted in your honor on my timeline, there’s a tag in my comment that will take you to your public page.

  2. Glad you’re back, especially with minimal potential for disruption to the book release.

Meanwhile, I’m as firmly convinced as ever that I want nothing to do with MyFacerLinkGram+.

    1. Facebook is like jail. You sit around and waste time, write on walls, and get poked by people you don’t know. (unknown source)

  3. Yay! I hope you one day find out why your page was suspended. It only takes a complaint to make that happen.

        1. “Facebook is on Facebook. To connect with Facebook, join Facebook today.”

But seeing as it seemingly takes heavy weights to get justice for a heavy weight, this more evidence that ha average Joan wine and cheese, should be very wary and not trust them and not like them.
    And avoid them if possible.

  5. So, I have Facebook cos someone made me get it (no freewill!) but I can’t find Mr Coyne WEIT.
Is this because I don’t know how to work it, which I don’t or because it is some private thing?

  6. Now, will the twits at Uncommon Descent breathlessly report that Zuckerberg has rehabilitated PCC like they did when he was purged?
