It’s snowing again!

March 27, 2015 • 6:31 am

And before some wiseass says, “It’s always snowing somewhere in the world” (the same wiseass who, wanting a drink before 5 p.m., says, “It’s 5 p.m. somewhere in the world), I mean here, in Chicago. Here are the flurries on my way to work, with the Robie House again pictured for lagnaippe.  (The snowflakes make eerie patterns, which one might well mistake for spirits—if one were a complete bloody fool):

  1. I’m guessing today would be an especially bad day for a student to yell out their issues with humans an macro-evolution…

  2. Got about an inch of the white stuff here in northern Michigan. Excellent. A nice dusting for the ski hills around here which are still open. Time to suit up for some gravity-assist sliding.

Indeed, only a fool would mistake those patterns for spirits. Those are obviously aliens beaming down from space!

    1. Similarly, the tree under my office window is blossoming.

It never ceases to surprise me that I used to live in a city that is north of Moscow, in a flat without central heating, and it was fine.

      All Hail The Gulf Stream!

  4. Should kind of make you wonder….what are you doing in Chicago.

Lincoln, UK?? Probably not on the A-11

  5. You’re making up for all the snow you missed out on earlier in the year.

It is cloudy and damp here. It makes me sleepier.

  6. Sunny, bright, 70 degrees, birds and flowers everywhere. As of a few weeks ago, even YOUR birds (like Blackburnian Warblers) were still here in montane Ecuador, reluctant to head up north.
