It’s Monday again, and that means it’s the week of Darwin Day, the anniversary of the day he was born, which happens to be this Thursday. All over the U.S., evolutionists will fan out to give lectures celebrating the marvel that is evolution. (I’ll be at Southern Mississippi University, talking on Friday). You can find an international list of events, which take place over the week, at this site.
Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili seems badly confused, as she should be looking for non-cryptic mice. . .
A: What are you hunting?Hili: White mice.
Ja: Na co polujesz?
Hili: Na białe myszki.
And, as lagniappe, here’s a very short video I took in the fall of 2013 of Hili chasing her tail. She was much slimmer then!:

Thursday.
Yes, I already fixed it, thanks.
Don’t forget, it’s John Frum Day on Sunday! If you haven’t cleared a landing strip for him yet, you better get started!
This is the year! You should all celebrate his impending return: why wouldn’t Vuanawatu?
Grooooooooaan!
(Well done! lol)
Hili is so focused on finding white mice that she is missing all the Snowy Nightjars that are right there, waiting to be spotted. Poignant.
Yes, but she clearly spotted the nightjar in the video!

And how many years has it taken me to spot the trumpet in your gravatar? It seems I’m no one to be mocking the observational skills of others, especially a celebrity kitty.
I didn’t see it until I knew it was there, but I might have seen it earlier if I’d known Ben was a musician. I just don’t remember names, even mega famous ones, when it comes to music, even though I love it.
Thursday will also be the start of my exams – how better to honour the father of natural selection?
Such a cute video!
Tell Hili she needs to find a research lab if she wants white mice…
