This being American, they just can’t let the poor, deformed cat be—she has to be turned into a cash cow.
Besides, if Grumpy could speak she wouldn’t sound like that at all. She’d sound more like Joan Rivers.

You’re right. The voice is NOT right at all! Joan Rivers would do it.
Agreed.
Or even Rodney Dangerfield.
I hadn’t heard of him, but Google is my friend, and now… I agree! In the UK I might have suggested Jack Dee
Or Jo Brand if female, maybe?
Saw Jack Dee live during my first week of university (1990). He’s not got much more cheerful since.
Now I’ve heard of Jack Dee and he’d work, too. Another good American would be the guy who played in Grumpy Old Men: Walter Matthau.
God that is cheesy! And I agree, Grumpy Cat would sound exactly like Joan Rivers and probably also have her sense of humour.
If she’s going to sound like a teenage girl she should sound MUCH more sarcastic and diva-ish.
Sorry, but I am NOT returning my Grumpy Cat coffee mug (got as a birthday gift). 🙂
There is also the Grumpy Cat Stuffed Animal.
Not just one, many versions. Some better than others… And the voice does not fit.
I’m one of those terrible people who has posted Grumpy Cat memes on Twitter. The voice is wrong, but I’d love to see the movie.
Did you see Sam Harris on Fareed Zakaria’s show? Fareed’s position was ‘interesting’.
This one? (you can examine the source of this web page to see how I did this – or if it’s not a Youtube link, you can just post a better URL…
Ah… perhaps it is the video here. From the first link/transcription, sounds like Sam gets talked over constantly.
Weak. So, so, so weak and hideously cheesy. Fits cheeseball America to a T. I’m finding a rock to crawl under now, and expect to not be bothered until mid-January.
They actually filmed some of that movie in the mall across the road from where I live. They even gave out Grumpy Cat buttons to the kids who walked by.
Crap. I must be going insane, because I am actually looking forward to watching it, cheezball and all. Not surprising, I actually enjoyed watching “Space Hunter:Adventures In The Forbidden Zone” (in 3D,naturally).
May D*g have mercy on me!
Our cats are in Grumpy’s movie! I am a long time volunteer at our local cat shelter and some of our cats appear in Grumpy’s new movie. It is the opening scene where Grumpy is in a cage in a pet store. The cats you see in the cages beside him are from our shelter. They made $60 each in desperately needed funds. All of them have been adopted now! https://www.facebook.com/FraserValleyHumaneSociety/photos/a.166343776738984.35901.161032593936769/867762936597061/?type=1&relevant_count=1
