A leather couch is very much a cat’s idea of mortification of the flesh.
Self-mortification is a sort of masochistic form of narcissism.
Luckily Hili is a cat, and therefore has opted for the comfy chair style of self-torture.
I think Hili’s into great satire. Of course, mortification of the flesh will bring peace. Not! Go Hili!

That’s interesting. Our late, lamented moggie didn’t like our leather furniture, and wouldn’t sit on it until we provided a towel.
If only mortification via leather would do the trick Hili! Glad to see you have positive humanitarian(?) values.
I wonder if that spot had recently been warmed by one of her slaves….
