It’s a sad farewell to Poland and my friends; I’ll be back in the US this afternoon:
A: What are you doing?Hili: I’m looking at my picture with Jerry.
A: Tomorrow Jerry is flying from Cracow to Chicago.
Hili: Via Dobrzyn?
A: No, via Franfurt.
Actually, I’m flying via Munich. In Polish (“Ja” means “I”, i.e., Andrzej):
Ja: Co robisz?
Hili: Oglądam moje zdjęcia z Jerrym.
Ja: Jerry leci jutro z Krakowa do Chicago.
Hili: Przez Dobrzyń?
Ja: Nie, przez Frankfurt.
Poor Hili. She sounds like she’s pining. Have a safe journey Jerry.
I will miss the Hili dialogues. I am sure she will miss all the cuddles from Uncle Jerry.
I have gotten them every day for a year (they are a deal I struck with Malgorzata for allowing her to translate anything she wants from my site into Polish), so I have decided to put them up every day on this site–that is, unless readers violently object.
I suspect that Hili will, like her predecessor, become more philosophical as she ages, and we will want to be around to see that happen.
Bless you (in a secular-type way) both (you and Hili, and Malgorzata of course)
oh yes, cats are wonderful philosophers 🙂 I have noticed the Hili dialogues are continuing to appear. But I think she will still miss all those cuddles
Awwwwwwwww.
Hili got so spoiled!
