Here Mo puts on a burqa and asserts that he’s a woman because he feels like one. Of course this panel is triggering for “progressives,” and, though the strip is six years old and recycled, the artist says this:
A Friday Flashback from almost exactly six years ago. Lost a couple of patrons that day. Let’s see if it happens again.
I suspect it will!

Haha, great!
THANK YOU BARMAID! Yes, it is the biological reality of women’s bodies — that we are weaker than men, that we have the ability to become pregnant (willingly or not), that infants are dependent on us, etc, that has had throughout history a significant material effect on our lives.

Way to Go, J’ and Mo!
You would be fined $750,000 in Canada for posting this. Apparently, it denies the existence of trans people, or makes them cease to exist or… something.

Oh Canada. ☹️
That is bizarre! I am happy to live in the USA, where the First Amendment protects us from this kind of irrationality.
An opinion piece with a bit more detail:

The only other media that has so far picked this up is Epoch Times which I get free for some reason even though I’ve never subscribed. The story (not opinion) is free for me to read but only on one of my devices. Those who subscribe can read it:

I should just say that BC is unique is allowing complainants alleging discrimination to drag private individuals (even their personal friends who had private conversations with them) before the Human Rights Tribunals. The other provinces restrict actions to businesses and other entities providing services or employment to the general public, like employers, landlords, restaurants, nail salons, cosmeticians, and the like, making them more like American civil rights actions. Our Human Rights Codes feature a much longer list of protected grounds on which it is prohibited to discriminate, though, and gender self-identity/expression is one of them in every province.

Perfect! Of course, in many countries if Mo was a woman ‘she’ wouldn’t even be allowed out of the house or allowed to talk about a man who wasn’t ‘her’ father or brother. It’s amazing that he saw this coming from so long l ago.
Well, of course
An excellent Jesus ‘n’ Mo as always!
Please correct me if I’m wrong, Prof Coyne, but you recently told me, in a brief exchange regarding JK Rowling, that, unlike her, you hold the belief that humans can change “gender”. If so, do you think that Mo is correct here? He’s a woman?
I mean no disrespect. I’m an atheist regarding “gender identity” woo and was genuinely surprised by your belief on this subject. You are, of course, free to tell me to mind my own beeswax :0)
