Brief introduction: These photos were taken on safari in Tanzania in April 2025. Most are from the Serengeti National Park with a few from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today’s photos focus on cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus).

Are you kidding me – these are gorgeous and … the mood is powerful!
Nice photos! Five cubs, that’s more than I’ve ever seen!
Your photos are always so phenomenal. Very exciting to see.
It’s a real capture of a moment.
Thank you for sharing these.
Breathtaking! Thank you.
Exactly what I was going to say!
Wow!!!! Those are amazing!
It’s interesting that in (almost) each of these photos, the cheetah stands out like a sore thumb against a backdrop/environment that appears nothing like the color or pattern of its coat. And yet, natural selection suggests the coat would/should serve as camouflage. Can anyone shed some light on this (Jerry?)?
“Solo mom prowling” simply a spectacular photo!!
Fantastic! Pretty kitties.
Beautiful!
Looking at these photos, I feel like I’m really there. I can almost smell the air. Very cool. The “cheetah accelerating” with the tiny lavender colored flowers showing against her coat…nice.
Fantastic photos – thanks!
Gorgeous! Thank you!
GORGEOUS
I love these photos.
