Today’s Jesus and Mo strip, called “whip,” came with the note, “You shouldn’t flip tables, Jesus.” It’s about as scathing an indictment of Islamism that I’ve seen in this strip. Mo, of course, is as clueless as ever.
Jesus ‘n’ Mo ‘n’ iniquity

Aren’t christians guilty of a bunch of those acts too? Think crusades, Puritan New England witch hunts. Xianity was taken to Iceland, for instance, by priests who carried swords. Hitler was a Christian, at least in name.
I think the distinction is that the extremism being called out is personal, i.e., what Mo did vs what Jesus did, not what their adherents did.
Still, I think this strip lets Jesus off the hook for what some have called his deferred violence. I find it disingenuous of people who claim Jesus was a nonviolent peace lover where Mo was a violent warmonger. The difference between the two is a matter of timing. Taking Jesus at his word regarding the ultimate destruction of non-Christians makes him as bad as Mo, imo.
The destruction of the nonbelievers was, in Jesus’ case, at least confined to the afterworld. That makes it reasonably possible to interpret the scriptures in a way that leaves genocide up to God. The Quran and Hadiths, on the other hand, couldn’t be clearer about the duty of Muslims to use the sword to convert or kill. Reform isn’t possible.
Islam is worse than Christianity. There’s less theological wiggle room for the better angels of our nature.
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34, King James Version)
LOL
Allegedly, this image of Jesus flipping over tables was in response to a query sent to an AI engine:

Lol!
Brilliant!
Mo also (allegedly) married his youngest wife, Aisha, when she was six or seven years old. Although he waited until she was nine before consummating the marriage, so THAT’S ok then!
