Today’s Jesus and Mo strip, called “clowns”, came with this note:
Jesus has been reading Gurwinder again. You should too!
Here are the first two of Gurwinder’s 15 posts on “X” giving useful ideas to get us through 2025:
1. Negative Partisanship:
Many people’s political views revolve not around what they support, but what they oppose. They’re always fighting against something rather than for something, and the constant focus on what they hate makes them nasty and miserable.— Gurwinder (@G_S_Bhogal) January 1, 2025
And so on to Jesus and Mo, who once again are completely unaware of their hypocrisy:

If I didn’t know any better, and I – uh – well anyway – I’d say J&M’s loving-humility-peacenicking makes them a couple of snowflakes.
Americas tend to frame ideals by being against things, not for them. For example, we had a “war on poverty” rather than a “fight for wealth”. Other notable examples: war on drugs, war on pollution, war on smoking, war on rights, war on motherhood, war on peace, warren g harding.
I think we can all agree, though, that the g harding has to stop. We don’t want g hardists in this country.
HA!
Eric and Robert, I was giggling over the cartoon but your remarks gave me a pre-coffee belly laugh. Thank you for that gift.
Yes, amusing.
Bob Show wrote a couple of humorous science fiction novels in which the protagonist is named Warren Peace.
Also one of the main characters in the movie Sky High. Which is more a comedy than a super hero movie.
This is a necessary consequence of first past the post and consortium politics. Even if you are jazzed about particular policies, the much longer list of policies you oppose will be more salient.
