Today’s Jesus and Mo strip, called “fired,” came with a caption: “Then we’ll troll you on social media until you delete your account.” The boys have a song for us today, which they don’t realize is really about them. (The theme of the strip is the Divine Duo’s inability to see their own flaws.)
Jesus ‘n’ Mo ‘n’ crybullies

I WANT A COMMENT!
Or else you will troll us unmercifully lol.
I WANT TO KNOW WHY WE NEVER SEE THE BARMAID THE BOYS ARE TALKING TO IN THE PUB!!
(I realize this whine doesn’t apply to the current episode. Just sayin’)
I’ve always assumed the Barmaid looks just like Ophelia Benson.
Ahh…🧩
Mo could have added “…a fascist bigot who is causing me great pain and suffering!” Crybullies draw their strength from Victimhood.
Both Christianity and Islam will eagerly frame believers as fragile children watching their Father be viciously attacked when it comes to blasphemy. A damage to honor is obviously a cut to the soul of one’s identity. Christians, however, often live in cultures which value the emotional strength to brush off and ignore insults to God or mockery of Christ. It doesn’t cause any actual damage. Some of them protested Life of Brian — but many laughed and none rioted.
That form of social resilience is running up against a new emphasis on fragile identities. Only fascist bigots worry about this, though.
Mo’s outburst is appropriate… it’s imo more likely for him or his lot to be pissed in today’s world of the chronically offended. They can both… cry into their beer!
BTW the bar take must go down when these two start… or, hecklers unite for a feast of MO and Jesus!
Timely cartoon.
Only tangentially related, if that, but I came across Tim Minchin’s performance as Judas in the recent Jesus Christ Superstar staging.

I was really impressed with his singing and performance. It is also worth noting that he wore a keffiyeh as part of his costume. The cartoon reminded me of this.
Tim Minchin’s performance as Judas in this production of JCS is fantastic. And wonderful to see a famous atheist in the role. Ben Forster as Jesus is also spectacular. His rendition of Gethsemane is spine tingling. I love this production and wish I could have seen it live when it was touring.
