All of these photos were taken this week during a two-hour walk at the San Joaquin Wildlife Preserve in Irvine, California.

According to Google search, a group of pelicans is called a “brief”, “pod”, “pouch”, “scoop”, or “squadron”. Choose your favorite. Here the American White Pelicans were joined by a seagull.
