I think we’ll take a break from the photos tomorrow, as people will be celebrating and the photographer’s work may be overlooked. But do send your photos in!
Today’s photos were taken in Tanzania by Daniel Shoskes. His commentary is indented; click on the photos to enlarge them.
These should be self explanatory. The baby wildebeest was a few minutes old. It’s amazing to me how a giraffe can bend down so low to drink and then raise up their head to full height and not stroke out.
Love the gnus!
That’s good gnus…
That’s a very self-satisfied looking lion!
What an adventure! This is a thing I would very much like to do. It would also be a great excuse for renting a big ‘ol lens.
Very nice, brings back some great memories.
Lovely pictures! I’m dying to visit Tanzania when travel opens up again. Out of interest, which national park were they taken in? Selous? Ruaha?
We traveled around. Aursha, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park. This is the longest in my adult life that I haven’t been in an airplane and I miss travel so much! This year canceled trips to Borneo and Morocco.
Spent an Xmas night in early 70s in Arusha (at dinner with those English things that you pull and they pop and that contain silly paper hats- crackers is what they’re called!) Went to all the wonderful surrounding game parks in the following days. Love Tanzania and Kenya!
Giraffes! And two different stances to drink!
I always enjoy the fauna of Africa. Some splendid photos here. Baby elephant!
