Here’s the moth!

Did you spot the hidden moth in Tony Eales’s photo earlier today? From the comments it looks as if people thought they were supposed to spot the obvious moth on the left, but that wasn’t the hidden one.

Here’s the reveal (click photo to enlarge).

That wasn’t so easy, was it?

Oh no! I thought it was the stuff in the upper right corner!

    Good one!

Last fall I ran a cryptic-moth picture by the late Michael Majerus here
    https://pandasthumb.org/archives/2019/10/whipping-a-dead-moth.html
under the head “Whipping a dead moth.” If you cannot find it, see the comments. It is interesting that, once you see the moth, you cannot miss it.

I’ll take your word for it.

I got it but I had to look up a picture of scioglyptis first. Fairly distinctive. Had it been perpendicular to the grain it would have been easier.

Hey! That was fun! I spotted the moth right away. Usually I have a really hard time spotting things, but this happened fast. The visible moth is seen from the back, but somehow I caught on that the hard-to-see moth is seen from the side.
