Here’s an amazing battle between two Canada lynx (Lynx canadensis) that appeared on the Famous Amos Photography Facebook page. The notes:
I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life watching 2 lynx mating/fighting with the male chasing the female up a tree twice but the female fighting him off! Here is a video I took of the whole ordeal out in the boreal forest near Grande Prairie, Alberta! Enjoy and feel free to Share!
Listen to those cats scream! (Be sure you turn the sound on and up, and enlarge the screen.)

Wonderful video! What gorgeous creatures. The final segment of the female(?) alone in the tree was just breathtakingly beautiful. A special moment for the videographer I’m sure.
Geez! I thought that was only going to be cool, but it was terrifying!
For those who don’t like going to Facebook, here’s a link to a CBC article with the video: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/lynx-fight-grande-prairie-1.4593620
Keep tryin’ fella, she’s just playing hard to get!
Look like a clear example of “no” means “no” to me 😉

If I could turn this behavior to the human species for a moment and turn your attention to Michigan State University, the home of Larry Nasser, the sexual assault specialist for at least 20 years. Just happening, his boss at the school, Dean William Derkey Strampel of MSU School of Osteopathic Medicine, arrested on several charges, including felonies along the same lines. I wonder, how does a college recover from this? Maybe it will not.
One needs religion and spirituality much like one needs a ‘detox’ diet. In other words, ya don’t, but some people with deep pockets think they do.
Whoops. Meant to post next door.
Wow. Beautiful footage. Goosebumps.
That is some fierce interaction. I’d be scarred shitless by that female. Wows! Majestic animals.
Wow, are those Canada Lynx gorgeous animals! Fierce, but gorgeous!
Great video, and I think “fierce but gorgeous” is the perfect description!

Dude, she’s just not into you.
What incredible footage of incredible creatures. Why do lynxes have such a short tail? Why do they not need a long tail like almost all other members of the cat family?
Had to forward this to somebody!

No means No, geez, that was some racket, if this is a demonstration of their mating behaviour, I think we’re fortunate to have any Lynx.lol
