It’s not draping a human, really, but this photo, sent to me by reader Janet, showed a truly original and hilarious Halloween “costume”. And who—except for d*gs—could find it offensive?
Best Halloween costume?

This is obviously cultural appropriation. It is clearly insensitive to mops, and while I’m not a mop myself, I can feel how hurtful this is to them. #mopsarepeopletoo

Complete with slime trail.
That’s fantastic!
That should freak out any drunk or stoned car drivers out on the road.
Not really sure how that qualifies as a Halloween costume but… More of a funny prop for someones facebook or twitter or whatever. I must say after seeing some of the congressional hearings today, these big money internet platforms have a long way to go before they would get my vote for anything.
Best, and laziest, dog costume.
Water spaniel?
Hungarian Puli
The dog that is the same front & back!
Isn’t that how the Otter in Ring Of Bright Water was described by a railway worker ?
It was in the film ,can’t remember if it was in the book.
My dog thinks it is spot on. As an Australian Cattle Dog (breed to work extremely hard0 and he does as he is a service dog helping me with my disabilities) he has no time for balls of fluff and thinks this is the most appropriate form of work for any fluffy foo foo dog
Like the larger Komondor, the Puli is a herding and livestock-guarding dog, also bred to work hard.
It’s cultural appropriation. Privileged dogs should not wear the dreadlocks of oppressed African-Americans.

My cat would find it offensive to find a dog in what looks like a box just waiting for a cat.
Budlight had a clever superbowl commercial in the early 2000s involving a Puli.

That’s one shaggy beast!
