  1. The more important question is… why? My cat has *adorable* little tufts between her toes. Keep her little feet a bit warmer on snow. Which we have today. In the middle of March.

    1. Shaving paw-tufts — there is something seriously wrong with that cat-owner.

  2. Probably there’s a lot of variation in catly tolerance. We’ve had d*gs mostly. The one we have now is very patient with us. When she had a messy wound on her rear leg I’d tell her to lie down and play dead – one of her standard tricks. This would put her into an almost trance while I changed her bandage. No fuss no muss.

  3. I had a Himalayan with a lot of hair between his pads. That hair could get filthy from the litter box so, periodically, I’d clip it. Yes, he’d clean it, after he had walked around and sometimes got on the furniture to wash. It was easier to keep that hair clipped.

    1. Yeah, Persians and related breeds are notorious for messy or just plain bad potty habits. I might trim toe and butt fur if I was staff to one in order to keep things clean. And of course, periodic full kitty shaving just to keep things sane.

    1. bitchy gene maybe- to be fair the cat probably slips on the tiles and slips when it jumps on things if the tufts grow too fluffy.

    1. I loved the pic of Vlad but when I tried to reply, the email address I had didn’t work.
