by Grania and Jerry (who added the cats)
Good morning everyone. Jerry is en route home so I am putting up the morning Hili post while he gets through airports and fights with suitcases.
Today is the birthdate of South African jazz pianist and composer Abdullah Ibrahim also known as Dollar Brand (1934). If you like jazz, you should explore his catalogue.
Hili: Have you seen what girls can do when they are upset?Cyrus: But you aren’t upset, are you?
Hili: Czy widziałeś co dziewuchy potrafią, jak się zdenerwują?
Cyrus: Ale ty nie jesteś zdenerwowana?

And an appropriate Trump-related poster:

As Hili refers and Trump will see a bit of on voting day, women can do a great deal. The poster with the cat reminds me that Martha and George Washington had a tom cat that was know to get around during the time camp at Valley Forge. They named the cat appropriately Hamilton.
Nothing like some mice and a slice.
Everyone should go to Old Town Square in Prague to see the Astronomical clock, especially in the weeks before Xmas.
And go to Bilý Koníček Jazz club… and drink some Czech brown beer… and try the roast ham from a street vendor.
But not all at once, obviously.
I LOVE Abdullah Ibrahim!!! The song featured here, African Market, was on the soundtrack for Chocolat, where I first learned of him. Thanks and Happy Birthday to Dollar Brand!
I’m also appreciating this. It’s a jazz number that combines some funky-folky elements and a refreshing fast rhythm. Not pretentious. Easy listening.
My latest kitteh (my ex’s) loves tomato sauce. Though I doubt she would bother trying to paw a slice; she’d more likely just walk over the keyboard and start licking.
