I suppose this is a juvenile of the big red kangaroo, but Aussies can weigh in here. At any rate, it’s adorable:

Aussie here, no idea if that’s a red or not.
What I do know is that it’s illegal to keep them as pets so I hope this guy works for a shelter or somethi similar.
Looks more like an eastern grey than a red kangaroo tbh, though there are only eastern greys around here and I don’t have much experience sighting red kangaroos.
Red kangaroos are more likely to be found in semi-arid to arid locales. The bloke in charge of Damien has a South Australian accent, from the way he pronounces “castle” as “car-stle”. South Australia is a pretty dry state, so maybe Damien is a red.
Squee! Would Damien want his human to have a pouch for snuggles?
I’ve seen enough photos posted of people who rear orphaned kangaroos (roadkill generally) to know that a towel or blanket across the hoomin chest as a sort of hammock is much liked by the joeys.
This looks like imprinting and I’m not happy with it, the animal is slave to its owner.
I’ve seen a big red, but not a juvenile. Still, I’d say unlikely to be one.
It is a grey kangaroo (probably eastern grey), not red.
Those Hawaiian waves crashing on the beach, and Burt Lancaster’s ur-Speedos, probably deserved best supporting Oscars.
