Reader Pliny the in Between has produced a new one-panel episode of Angry Cat Man (my superhero alter ego). (For the history and earlier adventures of Angry Cat man, go here, here, here, and here.)
In case you don’t know, the cat is Jones.

I wonder what tools Pliny uses to create these awesome images.
I only use Keynote’s embedded drawing tools. All I can afford at this point 😉
Having just flicked through the back AngryManCatalogue … two look to use the same pose – but flipped on a vertical axis? I’m going to guess tha you’ve got a number of backgrounds, characters etc to paste up, then the speech bubbles come from the presentation aspects of the software? Quite similar to the way that The Artist does Jesus’n’Mo with just a dozen or so frames and changing the speech bubbles. The Artist would cede that you’re the better artist, for sure.
Right now ACM only exists as the one pose. A couple of action poses are in the works for future installments where ACM faces off against The White Wolf(e)
I did a little installment on how I populate my site back in May:

Do you know Inkscape? It’s a free open source vector graphics editor for Linux, MacOS, and Windows.
Just a suggestion concerning your remark above. Your comic are looking great as they are. 🙂
The reason for going back to collect Jones was to protect this rare and unusual (if rather dangerous) xenomorph species from extinction at the teeth and claws of Jones.
Damned EPA/Wildlife Bureau regulations.
Inspiration to NZers?
I was sure that the alien had infected the cat. Wrong on that one. I wonder whether that was deliberate plot-misdirection.
Love the cartoon.
On the relevant superhero message boards, debating superhero costumes – ad nauseam – is a common activity. So the question for Pliny is this: Does Angry Cat Man sport bare/tanned arms and legs? Or is he wearing a brown(ish) unitard?
That’s a brownish costume, with cowboy boots. Angry Cat Man does not bare his arms or legs lest he arouse uncontrollable lust in women.
I wonder if ACM’s cowboy boots are going to get updated to reflect the Last Pair.
It can’t get any more canon than that! 😉
Jeez, I’ve been trying to arouse uncontrollable lust in women for decades. I’ll let you know when I’ve figured out how to do it.
cr
I’m constantly arousing something in women but its not lust.
No cape!
If ACM had a sidekick, who or what would it be?
Skepticat perhaps 🙂
I’m honestly not at all trying to damn with faint praise, but I must say these are wayyy more entertaining that the Halle Berry Catwoman movie. 🙂
If the physics of sound and vocal intonation were such that we could see speech bubbles, then they would look like the splashy, wavy bubbles of Pliny the in Between. That is what conversation looks like, – not the smooth, round bubbles of other comic strips 😀
I love it!
“Pliny in the Between” – not the younger, not the older, the in between. I love it.
