I suspect there will be a lot of biology posts today, so we’ll have a shorter version of RWPs, but not a lesser one, for these are bird photos by the estimable Colin Franks (photography site here, Facebook page here, Instagram page here).

You’re welcome. So, how do you get autocorrect to back off? Glaucidium gnoma.
Great photographs by Mr. Franks, as per ususal. I particularly appreciate the photos of the owls. Owls are a particular favorite of mine. When I was a kid, about 10 or 12 years old, we lived basically right next to the Everglades. I used to listen to them making their “hoots” back amd forth to each other after dark.
I took a picture of a baby owl in Albuquerque this weekend. It is shameful compared to these.
Stunning photography.
Beautiful stuff! 🙂
Your work is wonderful, Mr. Franks. Thanks for sharing your photos.
Is the Northern Pygmy Owl saying, “If I take it back, will the shop swap it for a smaller size?”
