Note to readers

February 4, 2016 • 7:50 am

I ask again that readers send me at most one email per person per day. Lately I’ve not been able to keep up with emails, and it’s harder when individuals send me three or four emails each day. These are well-meant, and usually contain links or things that I might be interested in, but I’d appreciate it if you could combine such items into one email. Otherwise you risk being inadvertently overlooked.

One exception: if I make a typo or other error in a post, please call it to my attention ASAP.

Thanks,
PCC(E)

By email, or by leaving a comment?

  2. Ah, I have been guilty. I will be sure to adhere to this request if ever I have an opportunity to email you again in the future. The good news is the huge and sustained success of the site as well as how enthusiastic the Commentariat is to provide the occasional assist. We love it!

    Correction of Error alert:

You are not an “emeritus” Professor Ceiling Cat. You are an emeritus professor of biology at the U of Chicago. You are, and will always remain, OUR teacher, and the Ceiling Cat, as long as you maintain the website. You are not in retirement.

    That is all, PCC.

    1. You just freaked him out because now he thinks he has to write more content for us! 😉

    1. Hilton, that’s happened to some of us once in a while too. IIRC, trying to sign up again (using the follow link) has gotten email alerts back to normal (even though you get a “you’re already signed up here, you idiot!” message when you do so).

Good luck. If that doesn’t work you might ask Merilee how she solved it…

      1. Thanks for the advice , Ms. G. I was wondering if it was owing to my negative comments about Hilary Clinton. ( I’m for Bernie Sanders .)

        1. I don’t think that’s a punishable offense. Now maybe if you were for Cruz…:D

(I’m for Bernie too, but can’t help thinking I should hedge my bets and keep an open mind about Ms. Inevitable.)
