Note to readers (again): fill in your blanks

October 28, 2015 • 10:10 am

Most people have already become aware of a WordPress glitch that has removed the autofill feature of comments, so if you make a comment, please be sure that your name and email address is filled in before you post it. I’m still getting way too many comments from “Anonymous”.  I am in touch with WordPress and they are aware of the problem.
Thanks.

  1. email to PCC(E) from WordPress:

    Dear whom it may concern,

We are aware of the problem and are looking into its resolution.

    Sincerely,
    Anonymous

    email:_____@_____.___

  2. Or a commenter could create a WP account and login so that there are no blanks to fill in (except from time to time when WP has “forgotten” you – presumably when the cookie has expired).

    /@

    1. But I really don’t want to have yet another online account just to achieve what was possible till now without an account (and still is on other WP bl*gs).

  3. I’m going to make absolutely sure I don’t accidentally leave any more anonymous comments.

    1. Actually, I now that I’ve looked at it more carefully, I think that is a glitch in Netvibes dashboard index, which is the site I use to access this b*og
