Good news! The temperature is expected to rise to 43°F today—over the freezing point!—and even 51°F later in the week. Can it be that winter is having its last gasp? I’m told that signs of spring are already on their way in Poland, too (there was a bit of snow yesterday), and Hili looks for the Door to Spring. Her dialogue is particularly good today.
The Infinite Muhn-keh Cage show is tonight; wish me luck!
A: What are you doing?Hili: I’m checking the weather because yesterday there was an illegal winter.A: But the snow melted afterwards.Hili: It could change its mind during the night.
In Polish:
A: Co ty robisz?
Hili: Sprawdzam jaka pogoda, bo wczoraj była nielegalna zima.
Ja: Ale potem śnieg się roztopił.
Hili: Mógł w nocy zmienić zdanie.

“Illegal winter” Ha!
Best of luck to you, Professor Ceiling Cat!
It is cat rules, where Cat Rules. I’m pretty sure the Penalty is clawing.
“Illegal winter” needs to be added to the lexicon! Somebody petition the OED. In the meantime, I’m adding it to my vocabulary. I know I’ll have plenty of opportunities to use it.
Hili to sign of Spring:
– Oh, hai!
Jerry to Science show:
– Oh, hai!
I sense a theme.
[And good luck!]
I continue to be baffled over the farmer’s (well, veterinarian’s) temperature scale. Even the chemist’s scale of degree Celsius keeps better track of the weather…
Good luck!
The birds here are making their territorial calls. Silly birds – it’s too cold to sit on eggs!
I saw a pretty male cardinal at work singing his “burrito” song as I walked under him.
Good luck with the monkeys!
Yes, some of the Robbins are back and the ice on the lake is nearly gone. We may see 70 degrees, that’s F, by Tuesday. Almost time to start working on those lawnmowers.
I’m sure Hili must’ve been influenced by Philomena – that was a full blown Cunkism! (My tablet just predicted Cunkism! Twice now! I’m sure I’ve never used it before. 🙂
Best of luck for tonight Jerry! I’ll be thinking of you, wishing things like The Infinite Monkey Cage came to small towns in New Zealand. 🙂

Meanwhile, here in Arizona, we’ll be in the 90s by this time next week….

With luck, you’ll make it to the twenty-first century very soon…
