The unrelenting cold still has Chicago in its grip, and is squeezing the life out of us all. Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili is restless and seeks the Door Into Summer. It is not to be found.
Hili: This robot is not the most brilliant model.A: Why do you think so?Hili: It’s purring like a cat but it looks like a washing machine.(Photo: Sarah Lawson)
In Polish:
Hili: To nie jest najbardziej udany robot.
Ja: Dlaczego tak sądzisz?
Hili: Mruczy już jak kot, ale ciągle wygląda jak pralka.(Zdjęcie: Sarah Lawson)

Love it! This really made me laugh.
Thank you for the Hili dialogue! It is the first thing I check every day, and it nearly always starts my day off with a chuckle…!
Great one. Our cat seems to prefer the dryer.
Better that than the other way ’round….

I’m loving Sarah Lawson’s pictures of Hili that we’ve had the last few days. Hili seems to love posing for her!
Thank you. Hili is photogenic from almost any angle.
She looks like a little kitten in this photo. Sweet! 🙂
I thought the same – she does look like a kitten.
as re The Big Cold and its “squeezing the life out of us all,” these door – knocker signs and statements from Cooperstown and from many places online give me such warmth and calm this MID – February: “IF your response to ‘Opening Day’ is ‘for what?’ … … we cannot be friends,” and “We interrupt this family for … … baseball season!”
Opening Day just .s.i.x. weeks a w a y ! Yay !
Darling Hili – pix today !

-17c on Thursday day!!!????
Bugger that for a laugh.
That cat looks like an imposter.
No chance. (1) Hili is unique; (2) I am personally acquainted with her. What you see is the authentic cat.
Look forward to seeing you later this morning!
